Centennial Year Church Events
November 7, 2004 - The Mens Club of SS. Peter and Paul Orthodox Church holds the second listed event of our Parish's Centennial Year observance - their annual Spaghetti Dinner. The event was held in the Church Hall one hour after Divine Liturgy. The tables (below left and right) were neatly yet simply set inasmuch as spaghetti doesn't require an elegant place setting!
Familiar faces (above left and right) were in place to collect admissions and issue tickets to the event. Below left and right one sees many of the early arrivals who, rather than going home from Church and then coming back, took their seats directly from Church one hour before the start of the event at 12:00 noon.You may click on the photo below left to view an enlargement.
The foods available ranged from bread at the beginning of the meal to cake at its end and, oh yes, there was the spaghetti in between, its preparation supervised by Lou Silva (below left). All of this was made possible by members of SS. Peter and Paul's Mens Club, many of whose members are shown below right in the Church Hall kitchen prior to the dinner. A nice way to spend a Sunday afternoon before Nativity Fast.You may click on the photo below right to view an enlargement.
