Church Events
9:00 a.m., Saturday, June 12, 2004 - The Ninth Annual Run for the Church is held as a collaborative fundraiser with parishoners from Annunciation Church in Brick, N.J., Christ the Saviour Church in Paramus, N.J., and SS. Peter and Paul Church in South River, N.J. participating in the 19 mile run/walk between the Kornafel family home in Freehold and our Church at 76 Whitehead Avenue in South River. In sharp contrast to last year's weather, the sky was what airline pilots call "severe clear", the humidity was low, and the temperature was perfect for nonrunners but a little higher than preferred by the runners.

Below left, the beautiful back yard of the Kornafel home where the runners gathered and, below right, some of the refreshments served before the starting gun.

At around 12:30 p.m. our parishoners gather at the corner of Leonardine Avenue and Old Bridge Turnpike in South River (above left) in anticipation of the run's progress up Old Bridge Turnpike (above right).
