Church Events

The Display in the Lobby of the Church Hall Reminds Us That We Are Still in the Festive Season Following Pascha. As Such, It Is a Wonderful Time for Festive Celebration and a Good Number of Parishoners Took the Opportunity on the Night of May 7, 2004 to Gather in the Church Hall to Learn the Art of Folk Dancing.

Below Are Various Photos From the Event. Many of the Parishoners of Our Church Have Ancestors of European Descent. In Many of These Countries, Folk Dancing is Part of the Tradition and Culture of the People in Addition to Being an Art Form and an Excellent Means of Physical Activity.

Both Men and Women Participated in the Folk Dancing and the Age Range Represented Was 5 to 50+ Years. The Only Requirement for Participation Was the Wearing of Comfortable Shoes and Everyone Was in Compliance!

The Event Was Under the Direction of Mrs. Allison Steffaro. The Participants Enjoyed the Event to the Extent That It Was Agreed That Such a Meeting Would Be Held Once Per Month During Our Church's Centennial Year.

Folk Dancing Lessons Started at 7:30 PM and the Sun Was Still Shining. By the Event's End the Evening Had Well Progressed Into Night. Below, the Church Hall at Night With Our Illuminated Church in the Background.
